Bridget Devine

My great curiosity in the human body came about when low back pain grabbed my attention in my early twenties leading me to acupuncture and massage. The paradigm of investigating the source of the problem, rather than putting the band aid upon it, resonated with me. Â
Â
I attended Muscular Therapy Institute/Cortiva and completed that course of study in 2006. After 15 plus years of practicing Neuromuscular therapy, I never thought I would dive so deeply into any bodywork practice. Though, here I am, learning more with every client and every year that passes with curiosity and compassion. After working in a clinical environment outside Boston, I am happy to share NMT to areas beyond and within my community.
Â
I pursued Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Techniques in 2021, After many years of treating low back pain, and having personal experience with abdominal massage, I was curious about what was happening on three dimensionally.Â
How are the organs affected when there is asymmetry in the muscles of the low back or pelvis? How are the skeletal muscles affected by dysfunction or pain in the abdomen? I am still exploring these questions. Through the practice,of Arvigo Abdominal Techniques, I have come to appreciate this powerful practice and aim to share it with as many in my community as possible.

The alignment of the self-care techniques in both NMT and the Arvigo Abdominal Techniques excites me, I am passionate about empowering people to know the topography of their bodies, whether their skeletal muscles or organs.
Â
I love collaboration; working with individuals who are curious about their bodies, eager to make steps toward wellness and those who understand that there may be myriad factors involved in a body experiencing pain and also moving out of pain.
Â
Volunteerism has been an important part of my life and family. Organisations for which I have volunteered: Dana Faber Boston Marathon, Pan Mass Challenge, Love Your Brain Foundation, Zeno Mountain Farm & AccesSportAmerica. When not treating clients, I can be found exploring my original love of making art, and hanging with my boys.
